Description:

With Susan Corwith, PhD, Associate Director, Center for Talent Development and Rhoda Rosen, PhD, Associate Director, Center for Talent Development

Your 6-year-old builds elaborate Lego structures for hours. Your 11-year-old reads everything he can get his hands on. As a parent or caregiver you can do a lot to help your child identify and pursue their interests and passions. But, how do you encourage and support your child’s interests in a healthy and productive way? Talk with expert staff from the Center for Talent Development about strategies and approaches that nurture children’s strengths, interests, and creativity, putting them on a path to talent development and self-fulfillment.

In this talk, we will discuss the stages of Talent Development (as a theory but in accessible terms) and how parents can help their children identify their areas of greatest interest and strength and advance along the talent development trajectory. We will provide resources, including resources from CTD.
