This course is a continuation of the Fall 2016 Beginning Cherokee course. We will begin the class with a brief review of concepts and then progress onto new topics. These topics will range from everyday phrases to discussing how to conjugate verbs. Other topics include: intonation, dialectical differences, and differences between spoken and written Cherokee. This course aims not only to learn linguistic concepts, but also cultural and philosophical concepts. Without an understanding of the Cherokee worldview, we cannot truly begin to learn how the Cherokee language is structured and spoken.
