Description:

Instructor: Sarah Mayhan
Learn the Alexander Technique to increase mindfulness in your everyday movements and strengthen connection between mind and body. A method of postural awareness, the Alexander Technique helps performing artists sustain their energy and physical presence onstage (and is part of the curriculum at Juilliard and the Yale School of Drama). By addressing and changing physical habits, it combats everyday physical stresses. Whether you would like to gain confidence in public speaking or feel less stressed at the end of the day, this course will bring some ease into your daily life. Note: Alexander Technique is instructed both verbally and through light, respectful hands-on guidance. Please refer to syllabus for more information.
