Return of actionable genetic results in cohort studies with Laura J. Rasmussen-Torvik
The recent generation of whole genome sequence on large numbers of participants in cohort studies like MESA provides the opportunity to return highly actionable genetic variants (like BRCA1 mutations). However, there are many questions about the best way to facilitate the return of this information. In this talk I will recap a recent multi-cohort return of results meeting in Jackson, MS and present potential aims for a grant comparing multiple methods of genetic result return.
