Quality Improvement and Implementation Science: separate paths or partners in improvement? with Dr. Lisa Hirschhorn
Quality improvement work is traditionally focused on local improvement while science focuses on producing generalizable knowledge. The challenges in global health, including the gaps in research-to-use and changing epidemiology of chronic diseases require a different way of thinking. Dr Hirschhorn will present background and case studies of integration of these two disciplines to accelerate improvement in quality and d population health locally while creating the generalizable knowledge needed by countries to reduce suffering and achieve globally-identified health-related goals.
