Why Won’t You Just Tell Us the Answers? Teaching STEM Reasoning | Reaching Across All Content Areas
A one-day workshop for educators offering strategies that help students be resourceful problem-solvers.
Students need to know how to tackle complex problems independently. Practice teaching strategies by working with other participants on authentic tasks and inquiry-based approaches. These strategies will encourage students to be self-reliant and resourceful problem-solvers when they must create and defend their own solutions to complex problems.
Join workshop facilitators David Beedy and Karen Swade on Saturday, October 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois for an engaging day of learning. All event details and registration form are online.
For 35 years, Center for Talent Development, a part of Northwestern’s School of Education & Social Policy, has provided educators with quality professional development and resources that help them nurture exceptional talent in students.
