“These young musicians play with remarkable attentiveness and an astonishingly even tone, as if they were four limbs of one instrument,” observes the Montreal Gazette. Now a major presence on the international scene, the Dover Quartet was named a Cleveland Quartet Award winner for the 2016–17 and 2017–18 seasons and was awarded an Avery Fisher Career Grant in March. Last season saw the release of the group’s debut recording, performances of the complete Beethoven quartet cycles in three cities, and a US tour with bassist Edgar Meyer. This season the ensemble appears at the Kennedy Center, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, and Carnegie Hall. Made possible in part by the Elizabeth F. Cheney Foundation.
