Born into a musical family in Philadelphia, Jimmy Heath has been a major contributor to the jazz tradition for more than 70 years. He has influenced and performed with such jazz greats as John Coltrane, Benny Golson, Miles Davis, Specs Wright, Johnny Coles, and Dizzy Gillespie. Take a journey into the songbook of one of jazz’s leading composer-performers through Northwestern jazz students’ arrangements and performances.
