Description:

Interested in studying abroad? Come learn about the Global Engagement Studies Institute (GESI), a study abroad program run by the Buffett Institute for Global Studies!

Info sessions are 1 hour long, include snacks, and are located at
1800 Sherman, Suite 1200 (on the first floor). Most info sessions are run by alums of the program.

About the program: GESI is a unique opportunity to do an immersive service based study abroad program while earning academic credit. Students live with a homestay family while joining the efforts of local organizations to advance community-driven change. The program is in the summer, and open to all majors and class standing, including the summer immediately following graduation. 

Internship areas include public health, education, women’s empowerment, and the environment.

Generous GESI scholarships are available for financial aid eligible students.
