"Human Cytomegalovirus Latency Control of Host Trafficking and Signaling"
Felicia Goodrum Sterling, PhD - University of Arizona
Description
My research program is focused on understanding host-virus interactions that impact viral persistence using human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) as a model system. Towards this goal, we study infection in cell types relevant to latency and persistence of the virus. We have begun to define the viral factors and mechanisms by which HCMV regulates intracellular trafficking to control signaling.
