More Info

The School of Communication on April 21 will be staging its greatest performance yet — a star-studded show featuring our most recognizable alumni in the entertainment industry — hosted by Stephen Colbert (C86, H11).

The performance, “A Starry Night,” will bring our diverse community back to campus in the spirit of celebration, and will be preceded by two packed days of CommFest events: reunions, departmental open-houses, masterclasses, workshops, parties, exhibits, demonstrations, and more.

Join us at CommFest in April to rediscover the School of Communication, reengage with our initiatives, and reunite with dear friends at the biggest, brightest event in our history.

CommFest programming will begin in the morning of Friday, April 20 and extend through Saturday, April 21, ending with “A Starry Night.” All weekend activities will be on the Evanston campus. A CommFest ticket includes registration access to all festival events (coming soon) and entrance into “A Starry Night.” Ticket prices vary.

The Vision:

The festival weekend and “A Starry Night” performance have been planned to help fund our most critical new initiative: expanding support for graduate programs across the School of Communication. One key project is creating a new MFA program in acting and a new downtown Chicago performing and media arts center to house it. Facilitating these collaborative opportunities for our graduate community is crucial to meeting our strategic goals and in cementing our position as a world-class educator in the communication arts and sciences. Your support of CommFest will help us realize this exciting dream.
