In Buddhist meditation, the cultivation of wisdom is considered the key to transforming the mind. Cultivating wisdom involves exploring our deeply ingrained beliefs and how they shape our experience. When our beliefs about ourselves and the world are rigid or distorted, we get stuck in destructive mental and emotional habits that undermine lasting well-being. Exploring these unconscious beliefs and attitudes leads to transformative insights and helps us to live with a greater sense of ease and contentment.
In this one-day workshop, Tergar Instructor Cortland Dahl will lead an exploration of the Buddhist perspective of wisdom and the practice of insight meditation. We will learn meditations that help us to cultivate wisdom and practical ways to apply insight in daily life.
