Who is Meghan Anzelc?

Chief Analytics Officer, AXIS Capital
Dr. Meghan Anzelc serves as the Chief Analytics Officer for AXIS Capital Holdings Ltd (NYSE: AXS). In this newly created role, Dr. Anzelc is responsible for expanding and executing the strategy and roadmap for data and analytics enterprise wide across AXIS Capital’s business segments.
Dr. Anzelc was promoted to Chief Analytics Officer for AXIS in January 2018 following her role as the Vice President of Data and Analytics for the Company’s insurance segment. In her previous role, she evaluated the current data and analytics capabilities within the organization and provided strategic recommendations to further enhance these capabilities. Prior to joining AXIS in May 2017, Dr. Anzelc was Vice President, Lead Data Scientist, for Zurich North America, where she led predictive analytics projects across underwriting and claims. She has also held actuarial and analytics roles at CNA and Travelers.
Dr. Anzelc holds a Bachelor’s degree in physics from Loyola University Chicago and a Masters and Ph.D. in physics from Northwestern. She regularly participates in initiatives focused on providing relevant guidance on career planning and professional development, to insurance professionals, graduate students and post-doctoral scholars in the sciences and math. She is a member of the Steering Committee for the Women in Insurance Networking Group.
