This presentation provides an overview of simulation-based education in entry-level physical therapist education and post-professional residency and continuing education.  A brief history of evolution of simulation education, best practices for implementation and execution of simulation in physical therapist education will be discussed. Evidence will be provided on how simulation education assists faculty in meeting students learning needs not easily met through more traditional educational methods. Examples of simulation education from within the presenters own DPT and Residency curriculums will be provided alongside key information for potential future steps to consider with simulation based education.
