With the systems changes that occur with aging, clinicians often struggle knowing how to assess and prescribe appropriately dosed interventions for their patients. This course will provide the latest evidence-based guidelines for exercise prescription for the management of older adults. The course will specifically focus on the implementations of these guidelines into practice through a combination of lecture, lab, and discussion. This course will address these prescriptions in the context of both normal and pathological aging. Participants will also have the opportunity to assess and design and evidence-based program for community-dwelling healthy older adults and various sub-populations.
