Objectives
1) Understand that palpitations are most often associated with benign findings
2) Understand that palpitations associated with severe shortness of breath, chest pain, lightheadedness or fainting should be reported urgently
3) Understand that arrhythmia associated with palpitations can be diagnosed by ECG, ambulatory cardiac monitoring, implantable loop recorder or various consumer products including a 1-lead recorder communicating to a smartphone or attached to an Apple Watch.
