Diabetes: Exploring the integration of community-level and clinical care

November 7 Visiting Speaker
Dr. Edwin B. Fisher, Professor, Health Behavior, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Dr. Edwin B. Fisher from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Fisher directs the Diabetes Initiative of The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation; which uses an ecological approach to integrate individual, group, organizational, and community influences on self management in 14 primary care and community settings serving disadvantaged populations. His work has emphasized prevention and psychosocial factors related to chronic diseases.

-  Improve understanding of the behaviors and socio-environmental conditions that affect health
