An interdisciplinary, multimedia festival to celebrate four centuries of Shakespeare’s evolving legacy! Merrily presented by the Alice Kaplan Institute for the Humanities, the ShakespeaRevel will feature an eclectic array of events, including:

Catch My Soul — Psychedelic rock opera film adaptation of Othello. 4/22 @ 7pm

Revel at the Rock — Street-style performances of comedy, puppetry, music and slams, outdoors and in the round + your chance to try out Play the Knave, a Shakespearean videogame! 4/28 from 4-7pm — Stop by any time! Come and go!

Gina Bloom: Play the Knave (Lecture)
Play the Knave videogame creator Gina Bloom (Associate Professor of English, UC Davis) talks about the game’s development and use as a pedagogical tool. 4/28 @7pm

400 for the 400th Video Project — A chance to contribute one of 400 videos in honor of Shakespeare’s 400 year celebration—Record yourself reading Shakespeare passages and be part of the Revel Mashup! Ongoing

Northwestern Libraries Page and Stage exhibit. Opens 4/23, ongoing.
