This course is perfect for the aspiring cake decorator looking to learn the basics of this fun and creative craft. In this beginner’s course, you will be introduced to various frosting types as well as how to crumb coat a cake and how to frost a smooth cake with buttercream. You will learn how to prepare and fill a pastry bag and how to use a pastry bag, assorted icing tips and buttercream to pipe basic flowers, borders, shells and leaves. Each class will include demonstrations and plenty of practice time. Throughout the course, the instructor will demonstrate various tools that can make cake decorating easier and even more fun.
