Join Block Museum engagement manager Cynthia Noble for an exclusive lunchtime gallery tour of the Block's winter exhibition, Collecting Paradise: Buddhist Art of Kashmir and Its Legacies.
Collecting Paradise is an original and innovative look at art from Kashmir and the Western Himalayas from the 7th to 17th centuries. With 44 objects from collections around the world, the exhibition examines how Buddhist art has traveled across centuries and borders, raising questions about cultural exchange and historical collecting practices.
Participants will enjoy an informal lunch (provided) and networking event at noon, followed by the exhibition tour.
The registration deadline is March 20, 2015. Attendance is limited to 25 current Northwestern employees. Register with your active Northwestern NetID and password.
This free Lunch & Learn event is presented in partnership with the Mary & Leigh Block Museum of Art as part of the NorthWEstern WILL Initiatives.
