Makram Abbès is Professor of Islamic Thought and philosophy at Ecole Normale Supérieure- Lyon and member of Triangle Action, Discours, Pensée Politique et Economique. His areas of research include Islamic political and juridical thought ; political and moral thought in Islam, in particular the works of Al-Farabi, Averroes and Avempace. He is the author of innumberable articles and essays. His latest work is entitled AL-MAWARDI, De l’éthique du Prince et du gouvernement de l’Etat, which he translated and edited, preceded by Essai sur les arts de
gouverner en Islam (2015).
