Program Objectives
After attending this educational activity, participants should be able to:
1. Describe current evidence for management of commonly seen but difficult clinical scenarios including pelvic pain and adnexal masses.
2. Recognize new techniques and technologies in the treatment of fibroids and in electrosurgery.
3. Review current evidence on the cost effectiveness and quality of common gynecologic procedures in order to educate gynecologists regarding change in surgical practices.
4. Identify new evidence regarding cancer genetics in gynecology and how this relates to current surgical practices.
5. Discuss current information regarding FDA guidelines in relation to the treatment of fibroids.
Audience
The content of the program is appropriate for OB/GYNs and other healthcare providers caring for patients with a variety of gynecologic diseases.
