With guitar and harmonica, Dr. Negrete uses poetic song, corridos (running verse ballads) and slides to give an authentic perspective on Mexican and Mexican-American history, which includes songs and images of Mexican labor in the U.S. and the vital role of mothers, workers, revolutionaries, artists and other women across the sweep of Mexican-American history.
Light refreshments and food will be served.
