Title: "Gorgias and the Weakness of logos"
Wolfgang Mann is a professor of philosophy at Columbia University, where he's been since 1992. His book from the year 2000, _The Discovery of Things_, is about the ontological program of Aristotle's _Categories_ and its relation to Plato's metaphysics. Among other things, he has also published several papers on connections between Greek philosophy and Latin literature, most recently, in 2015, one devoted to the contrasting treatments of a Stoic "hero" by Epictetus and by Tacitus.
