Anthony C. Ocampo, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Sociology at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and a Ford Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow at University of California-Riverside. His research examines the social, cultural, and institutional mechanisms that influence immigrant incorporation. His work has been published in Ethnic and Racial Studies; Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies; Journal of Asian American Studies; Latino Studies; and Race, Ethnicity, and Education. He also has two books forthcoming this year: The Latinos of Asia: How Filipino Americans Break the Rules of Race (Stanford University Press, February 2016) and Contemporary Asian America (co-edited with Min Zhou, New York University Press, March 2016).
