The Global Cafe welcomes Dennis Wichern, Special Agent in Charge, Chicago Field Division and Valerie A. Nickerson, Assistant Special Agent in Charge, Drug Enforcement Administration.
This discussion will be about the DEA’s international efforts - what works and what doesn’t. As well as the DEA’s ability to fight drug trafficking on a global scale, the day to day operations and domestic policy.
Valerie Nickerson has navigated highly sensitive or politically charged situations during assignments held in Bogota Colombia, San Salvador, Honduras and throughout Latin America and on the domestic front.
Dennis Wichern directs all enforcement and administrative activities for DEA in the states of Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and North Dakota.
