Markus Steinbrecher "Alternative or No Alternative? Angela Merkel, the refugee crisis, and the Alternative for Germany"
Dr. Markus Steinbrecher will talk about the recent success of the right-wing Alternative for Germany (Alternative für Deutschland) and its link to the European refugee crisis as well as the politics of Angela Merkel. He will provide information on history, platform, goals, campaign strategies, and the leaders of this new party and will discuss whether it is an alternative to established parties or a threat to the political system of Germany.
