GSS alumna Bea Cordelia (WCAS '15) talks about her revolutionary artistic practice as an up-and-coming poet, playwright, and performance artist who's paving roads for trans/queer folks, then shows you what she's made of.
Bea Cordelia is an award-winning Chicago-based writer, [solo] performer, and teaching artist. Six of her plays have been produced to date and many of her poems and essays published, including the self-published chapbook of poetry 28.06 // Dear Sylvia. Her autobiographical solo show Chasing Blue will shortly feature in The Brick’s Trans Theatre Festival in Brooklyn this June after a wildly successful workshop production in Evanston last year. She has been featured at Goodman Theatre, Victory Gardens Theater, the Green Mill, Links Hall, Salonathon, The Fly Honey Show, and many more venues and events throughout Chicagoland. She has an upcoming residency with Chicago Performance Lab at University of Chicago this summer.
