Women in Philosophy has a special meeting this Tuesday, October 25, where we'll host graduate student Kathryn Pogin for a talk on her many experiences in philosophy! If you'd like to hear about the life and work of a very accomplished woman in philosophy, stop by Kresge 3-438 at 5 PM this upcoming Tuesday! Join us for what will undoubtably be a great talk, scintillating discussion, and delicious pizza! Women of all academic levels and interests are welcome—being a philosophy major is not required.
Kathryn has been incredibly active both at Northwestern; where she is a leader in ensuring Title IX enforcement; and in the broader philosophic community, writing articles such as "Discrimination is Un-Christian, Too" for the New York Times and "Notre Dame Healthcare and 'Sincere Religious Belief'", published in the Huffington Post. Her work at Northwestern deals largely with epistemology, feminist philosophy, and justice.
