Northwestern students arrive in the Fall with unbounded energy and potential. Along the way, some students begin to flounder, and poor attendance, lack of academic discipline and problematic behavior in class are strong signals that these students would profit from additional counseling and support.
Language faculty are often the first to identify students at risk and they have an earned a reputation for helping students to identify resources that will allow them to ultimately flourish during their undergraduate years. The CLI is organizing a panel discussion where support units will explain strategies for identifying students at risk and suggest ways to connect students to available support services.
Organized by the Council on Language Instruction, the Weinberg College Advising Office, the Dean of Students Office, Accessible NU, Counseling and Psychological Services and Athletic Academic Services
