This workshop will provide hands-on training for Swagelok compression fittings and cover several different areas.

AGENDA
9:15am – 9:30am: Welcome and Introduction
9:30am – 10:45am: Tubing and Fitting Essentials
Students learn foundational tubing and tube fitting knowledge that will minimize risk of leakage and ensure system safety and integrity. Points of emphasis will include tubing and fitting installation, how fittings work, along with pipe threads and pipe installation.
10:45am – 12:00pm: Fluid System Essentials— Hose Best Practices
Extend hose life while increasing safety through proper installation & selection. Learn how hoses are manufactured, hose options for various service and best installation practices.
12:00pm – 1:00pm: Lunch (provided)
1:00pm – 2:15pm: Valve Basics
Learn where you could use each type of valve and why. Additionally, discover how valves work and what design features to look for to specify the right valve.
2:15pm – 3:30pm: Measurement devices and common applications
Measurement of pressure, flow, level and temp along with pressure regulation are discussed. A chance to discuss specific applications and the function of system components.
