Literaturlenz: Authors from Germany, Switzerland, and Austria Read from Recent Work
at Bookends & Beginnings Bookstore, Evanston Monday, March 6, 6 – 7:30 p.m.
Marlen Schachinger will read from Martiniloben (Septime), Antje Ravic Strubel from In den Wäldern des menschlichen Herzens (S. Fischer), and Simon Froehling from Lange Nächte Tag (R. Bilger).
Every year, the Goethe-Institut of Chicago joins with its Swiss and Austrian partners for Literaturlenz, an evening of readings by important young
writers from their countries. Each author represents a unique voice in
contemporary German-language literature. This year we welcome Antje Ravic Strubel from Germany, Simon Froehling from Switzerland, and
Marlen Schachinger of Austria. Readings are in German, but translations into English will be available. Discussion and Q&A will be in English.
