Teaching Portfolio Bootcamp

Creating an effective teaching statement and teaching portfolio can be challenging, but they are increasingly important parts of preparing for the job market. Teaching Portfolio Bootcamp consists of three 3-hour sessions. The first session will focus on developing a teaching statement grounded in your disciplinary practice and that provides a throughline for your portfolio. In the second and third sessions, you will assemble components of your teaching portfolio, create and/or evaluate your overarching argument for teaching effectiveness, and receive peer feedback. At the end of the three-day bootcamp, you should have a teaching portfolio that accurately reflects your teaching goals and motivations, and best communicates and evidences your teaching to prospective employers.
