What does it mean for a course to be “inclusive”? Whose voices and what approaches get privileged in a course? What assumptions might underlie different teaching approaches and assessments? In this interactive session, participants will reflect on strategies for designing a course with principles of inclusion in mind. We will reflect on course content, learning objectives, teaching methods and activities, and assessment, exploring underlying structures related to power, positionality and privilege.
