Instructors and students come from diverse backgrounds, speaking many different languages. While diversity is integral to a strong learning community, it can be challenging given a wide array of language and cultural backgrounds. This workshop discusses challenges and considerations for multilingual classrooms - where either the instructor or student(s) may not be a native English speaker. This workshop will equip TAs with evidence-based communication strategies and tools to facilitate an effective learning environment.
