January's Sandhouse meeting will give you an opportunity to hear from the newly appointed Metra Executive Director and CEO who will provide an update on Metra’s needs and how Metra is planning to tackle them in these challenging times.
SPEAKER BIO:
As CEO and Executive Director of Metra, Mr. Derwinski provides overall leadership and direction to all areas of Metra operations and administration to ensure that Metra achieves its vision, mission, goals and objectives. Financial responsibility includes oversight of Metra’s budget, which totals more than $1 billion for operations and capital. Metra is geographically one of the largest commuter rail systems in the nation, serving a six-county region of more than 3,700 square miles.
