As we commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Black student takeover of the Bursar's Office, this event explores the recent upsurge in Black student protest nationwide.
Provost Jonathan Holloway will speak on "The Price of Recognition: Race and the Making of the Modern University". To follow, this event will include a roundtable discussion with former campus activists: Payton Head (Missouri), Austin McCoy (Michigan), Sarah Oberholtzer (Northwestern), Asha Ransby-Sporn (Columbia), and Eshe Sherley (Yale).
