Join the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion, Campus Inclusion and Community and Campus Life for a Black History Month screening of An Outrage, an award-winning documentary featuring Provost Jonathan Holloway, a scholar of post-emancipation African American history, about the legacy of lynching in the American South. The documentary was filmed on-location at lynching sites in six states and bolstered by the memories and perspectives of descendents, activists, and scholars. This unusual historical documentary educates even as it serves as a hub for action to remember a long-hidden past.
Filmmakers will attend for a Q&A with Provost Jonathan Holloway, which will be moderated by Leslie Harris, Professor of History.
