This lunch talk will be the second in the series of talks by Northwestern's American Medical Association to educate students about the opioid epidemic. In this talk, Dr. McCarthy will focus mainly on the opioid epidemic as it relates to the ED and some of the different interventions that are being tried.

Guest Speaker: Dr. Danielle McCarthy is an assistant professor of emergency medicine and her current research focuses on increasing patients' comprehension of their own medical care by examining multiple aspects of health communication in the hectic Emergency Department environment.
