Description:

Research shows that more women in the fields of science and technology lead to greater innovation and progressive research discoveries, yet they are vastly underrepresented in leadership positions in healthcare and biotechnology. The National Institutes of Health’s National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) seeks to change this by supporting both women-owned small businesses and entrepreneurs and researchers from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Specifically, NCATS may be able to help you and your organization through its Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.

Register today to join NCATS and the Association for Women in Science (AWIS) on April 12, 2018, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. ET, for a webinar featuring:
• SBIR and STTR program overview
• Benefits of NCATS funding
• Tips for submitting a successful application
• Key NCATS focus areas to advance clinical research and translational sciences
• Upcoming opportunities and deadlines
• Other resources and programs, including NCATS’ Therapeutics for Rare and Neglected Diseases (TRND) and Bridging Interventional Development Gaps (BrIDGs) programs
