Over the past two weeks, Global Café has hosted presentations from five outstanding International Studies Senior Thesis authors. Please join us for our final Global Café event of the year as welcome back Emily Kuttner and Will Engellenner for an open discussion about their process of drafting, conducting, and presenting a thesis.
Emily and Will intend to discuss their own journeys to write their respective theses, “The Negotiation of National Identity through Public Murals,” and “Look Outwards, Looking Inwards: Identity and the 2017 German Federal Election.”
Topics to be discussed include: how to find funding for research, how to choose a faculty advisor, how to draft a research question & puzzle, and cover many logistics of how to navigate work ‘in the field’ where things may not always go as exactly as planned… As well as cover any topics or questions you may have about the research process.
This event will be of particular interest to any student considering conducting independent research.
Please join us for dinner and a discussion!
