Sasha will present a paper entitled "Dimensions of Governance: Institutional Configurations Across the Post-Conflict North Caucasus." I am a PhD Candidate in the Political Science department with research interests in state-formation, governance, armed conflict, citizen engagement strategies and fieldwork methods. Regionally, my work focuses on the North Caucasus, specifically Chechnya, Dagestan, and Ingushetia, where I have spent 9 months conducting interviews, surveys, and gathering archived newspapers and documents.
Omri Tubi will present a paper entitled "Meaning Bellicism: Can Second and Third Wave Historical Sociology Explain Israeli State-Formation?" Omri is a Ph.D. Candidate in Sociology, Northwestern University.
