Dr. Kenneth Sher, of The University of Missouri, will speak at Northwestern as part of the Department of Psychology’s Colloquium Series.

Personality and the Development, Manifestation, and Resolution of Alcohol Use Disorders.

Abstract: The talk will discuss the multifaceted-roles of personality in risk for alcohol-related problems and its role in desistance processes that lead to “natural recovery.” Also, I will consider the notion of “drunk personality” and its potential clinical applications.
