Professor Coronado is a Professor of modern Latin American and Andean literatures and cultures at Northwestern University. His research and teaching interests draw from various disciplines such as history, anthropology, music, photography, and literature. In this talk, he will draw on his research in the Andean photographic archives to discuss his recent book Portrait in the Andes: Photography and Agency 1900-1950 (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2018).
