Join the Illinois Green Building Community and Chicago Living Future Collaborative!

The Living Building Challenge is a philosophy, an advocacy tool, and a certification program that drives past sustainability towards regenerative design.

The core framework of the Challenge is its arrangement into seven primary categories, known as Petals. These categories encompass the focus areas of the Challenge.

This series will convene panelists from LBC project teams in the Chicago area to speak about market-specific application of the Living Building Challenge Materials Petal.

Part 2: Responsible Industry, Living Economy Sourcing, and Net Positive Waste - Challenges, Opportunities, and Logistics

Panelists will speak to the challenges and opportunities of the Responsible Industry and Living Economy Sourcing Imperatives in terms of the Chicago market. Panelists with experience on the Net Positive Waste Imperative will speak to the logistics and shift in operations required to achieve Net Positive Waste during construction.
