Observe the total lunar eclipse at the historic Dearborn Observatory, and talk to Northwestern astronomers!
Hot chocolate provided at Dearborn while supplies last. Additionally, we are pleased to partner with La Cocinita Food Truck! They will be parked in the lot at Northwestern Place (east of Sheridan Road) and will have lots of yummy food for purchase.
Event will last until 1:00am (Plan-it-Purple is not equipped to list times that go past 11:45pm). Maximum point of eclipse occurs at 11:12 PM.
-- Admission is free and all are welcome. Family/kid-friendly event.
-- Parking in university lots is unrestricted in the evenings.
-- If the weather is questionable, check the Facebook Event for updates.
-- Unfortunately, the Dearborn Observatory is NOT ADA-accessible. There is no elevator in the building. Several staircases must be climbed in order to reach the telescope.
