Description:

Whether you are looking to make professional contacts, attending a reception at a conference, or expanding your purple network at Northwestern Connects when you’re an alumni, networking will become an important part of your post-grad life. In this guided, interactive networking reception, a certified etiquette instructor will show you how to connect confidently and you’ll be able to practice networking with alumni. This event is open to undergraduate junior and senior students only.

You will learn how to:

Dive into a networking event where you don’t know anyone.
Introduce yourself in a memorable way (and practice with alumni in attendance!)
Be a compelling conversationalist.
Juggle food and drink while networking.
Rise above awkward things that can happen.
Decipher the different dress codes.
Follow up with valuable contacts.
Join us for refreshments and invaluable professional tips as you begin your career!

This event and guided networking reception will be led by Callista Gould. Callista Gould is the Founder of the Culture and Manners Institute and has been a Certified Etiquette Instructor for over 10 years. Prior to this, she was Director of Marketing for InterTech Media, a pioneer in web video based in Stamford, Connecticut; Manager of Public Relations for Amana Appliances in Amana, Iowa; and Marketing and Event Planning for Sony Music in Chicago for artists such as Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Ozzy Osborne and Korn.
