Professor David Uttal (Northwestern School of Education and Social Policy and Department of Psychology) will present work-in-progress on the role of spatial practices in the context of STEM Learning. David’s research interests broadly include Maps, Symbolic Representation, Informal Learning, Spatial Thinking, and more. Among his funded research projects David is collaborating with the Chicago Children’s Museum to understand children’s cognition and learning in tinkering spaces.
