RetrACE the Origins of Cardiovascular Disease: How adverse childhood experiences contribute to cardiovascular outcomes
Objectives
We will introduce adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), discuss their prevalence, and examine possible mechanisms for how they contribute to cardiovascular disease. We will also discuss some new data from the CARDIA cohort on childhood psychosocial stress and cardiovascular outcomes.
