Join Northwestern University School of Professional Studies for a lunchtime table talk on the ways in which data found on social media, such as friends, relations, and localities, can be analyzed and utilized. Graph technologies and analytics are powerful tools that can derive contextual insights for data used in research, social initiatives, and business solutions. This presentation will walk attendees through the essential characteristics of a social network and their representations using the graph model. The talk will also examine the data structures, techniques, algorithms, and platforms used to analyze, discover, and mine such networks.
